Inspiring Sunday!

星期日和Sarah去了以马内利浸信会，她的家人都在这里聚会。

这星期日是回归聚会(庆祝教会的成立，同时也慰劳过去的会友们，牧师们，或是一些教会领袖。) 所以结束后有午餐

This Sunday went to Emmanuel Baptist Church together with Sarah, because both her parents go to this church for service. 

There are Homecoming service for this Sunday (Homecoming is a celebration to remember landmarks in the church's history, 

and also recognize past members, pastors, and other church leaders who are visiting during the occasion.) So, buffet food 

were served after church service.

这里是南部，因此有很多南部的食物~~~~yummy！！！有炸鸡，烤马铃薯，炖肉，马铃薯泥，面包，鸡蛋沙拉，各式各样的沙拉，通心粉，各式各样的蛋糕和甜派等等。
各种食物摆在桌子上，似乎看不到桌子的尽头.....这些食物真的很好吃!!

和Sarah的爸妈聊天，也开始在计划接下来的假期可以去哪里玩，打算开车去不同的州，也去山上，去海边。真的要好好规划，不要只浪费时间在派对和狂欢当中，或是呆在宿舍里面。想着能去旅行，心都愉悦起来了！

当我们正在享用我们的午餐，有机会认识到一个宣教士名叫Marie，她在洪都拉斯 (中美洲的国家) 开始了聋哑事工，也教手语，也做聋哑志愿者的装备事工。好厉害，对吧！与她聊天真的很鼓舞人心，她很年轻，很有异象和使命。也透过谈话来去挑战身边的人，仅是短短的交流，已让我从她身上获益不浅，真的很感恩，上帝让我有这样的机会认识她！！！透过她的生命来去提醒自己从神所领受的异象与使命。信心更加坚定！

We live in Southern, so we have all kind of the southern food~~~~~ yummmy!!!!! Fried chicken, mash-potatoes, roasted potatoes, macaroni, meat, breads, different kind of salad, different kind of cake and desserts, and more..... The food line were so long, can't even see the end of the line......and the food were really delicious!!! (How I wish you can try that!!!)
Chatted with Sarah's parents and start planning for road trip during my holiday, planning to drive and travel to other states. instead of wasting time none-stop parting, or just staying in my dorm doing nothing, but go to the mountains and the beach. My heart starts delight just thinking about this!

While we were enjoying our lunch, we met a missionary name Marie, she is a missionary in Honduran(Central American Country) and started deaf ministries, teach Honduran Sign Language, and equip volunteers and Christians to reach the deaf. Sounds awesome right?! She is an inspiring lady with passion and mission, she challenge our faith, I really learnt a lot through the short conversation with her, and thank God for this opportunity to met her!!! God strengthen my faith, and reminds me the vision I received from God through her life.

结束了午餐，在Sarah的家逗留一下，尝尝她妈妈亲自制作的提拉米苏蛋糕！！！*心都软了*真的很好吃！！！离开前，她也装满了一个盒子让我拿回去宿舍吃。好感动~~~~~~

不但如此，我也在她家认识了一个小帅哥：Cooper！！！很漂亮的德国牧羊犬，而他只有三岁而已，不可思议........(他看起来很大啊！！！)我很喜欢他，只不过我一直很怕它跳上来要我抱，我应该会直接被压垮，K.O！！！它让我想起我的猫咪Braddy，尤其是撒娇的时候，真的很可爱又好笑....awww~~~~~

在Sarah 家不知不觉待了几个小时，我们在后院喝咖啡吃蛋糕，与她爸妈聊天，又和小帅哥拍照等等。

很轻松与充实的一天！！！

After lunch, stopped by at Sarah's house, and tried homemade Tiramisu by Sarah's mom!!! *heart melted* It was really good!!! I was given a container of tiramisu when we leave her house, so touching~~~~

Not only that, I met a handsome boy name: Cooper!!!!! Beautiful German Shepherd, and 

he is just three years old, un"xiongxinable"(unbelievable)......(He looks HUGE to me!!!) I likes him so much, but just worried that he will jump on me, then I will K.O!!!  Anyway, he reminds me of Braddy, especially when he wants to seek for attention, so funny. Awww~~~~

Spent few hours in Sarah's house without notice, chatting with her parents while having coffee and dessert time at the backyard, and taking photos with the handsome one....

It was a relaxing but fruitful day!!!

Saturday again!!!!

It's Saturday!!!!! Met Santiago during breakfast and found out that he plays guitar, so we decided to sit on green and had sing along time, wohoo~~~~~ He is really good in guitar!!!! (but not in vocal, opsss~ sorry!)
Anyway, Sarah woke up and joined us, but after 12pm,  two of us went to library for study.......we are good girls!!! Muahahahhahaha!!!!
There is another American Football game starts at 7pm, we went to support.........hahah.......... American Football Game consider a big deal here in US, but I still no clue how this game scored and play, never mind, I guess I will learn that within these 4 years.

又是星期六！！！在吃早餐的时候遇见Santiago, 聊天中发现原来他会玩吉他，于是我们临时决定在草地上坐着弹吉他，唱歌，太好了~~~~他吉他弹得蛮棒的！！！(但是唱歌技术有待加强，opsss~ 抱歉！)
Sarah 在起床后加入我们的唱歌行列，12点后我们俩决定去图书馆看书做功课.....我们很乖哦！！！哈哈哈哈哈
傍晚又有一场美式足球赛，在7点开始，我们去打气加油.....哈哈哈.....在美国，美式足球对大家来说很重要，但我还是不知道怎么玩，怎么得分，但没关系，我想四年后我应该会看得懂的。

Friday night!!!

最近比较常去Sarah 的房间做功课，星期五傍晚也去她房间读书，吃水果。

临时决定去看戏 "Suicide Squad"在 9:50pm，好棒！！！

$10.75 一张票 = RM40+ 一张票(犹如烧钱~~~惨了！)

看戏的当儿，突然想起自己还有功课还没做，还没交，而且截止日期是今

晚，这下真的惨了~！！！

看戏都不安心，一结束，已经是12:10am,，一回到房间立刻上网查截止日

期，惊觉原来截止日期是下个星期，顿时松了一口气。

吓死我了~！

Hang out in Sarah's room to study and having some fruits on Friday night.

Decided to go for movie "Suicide Squad", at 9:50pm, wohoo~!!!! 

$10.75 for a ticket, = RM40+ a ticket (burning money~~~~ ohno~)

Half way the movie, I suddenly remember I have a homework to pass up 

before 11:59pm, ohno~~!!!

I was worrying while watching movie......quickly check the due date when 

I reached my dorm, it was 12:10am.....and found out that the due date is 

next Friday, phewww~~~~~~~~~~ 

ohmy~~~ scared me.

CRU

在星期二和四晚上第一次参加了CRU，中文名字应该是"学园传道会"，算是大专事工吧。在参加之前，有些人告诉

我这团聚主要是吃喝，有些人告诉我没人参加，还有很多.....没想太多，就直接去参与他们的团聚了，特别的体验。

星期二晚上像是我们平时的聚会，有破冰，诗歌赞美，还有讲道分享；而星期四晚上则是查经班，分成男女组。

察觉到不多新生参与，其实也没看到任何的海报，或是时间通知等，有点好奇.....

我想他们也应该很惊讶我怎么自己一个人来参加。

不管怎样，不能因为没有同伴而不去寻找神吧，对吗？

查经班其实还不错，只不过时间管理上可以再进步，以致有多余时间分享与彼此代祷，我想接下来我还是会参

与CRU，但是是带有使命感参与的，并且挑战他们走出舒适区，成为门徒。为我祷告！

Visited CRU on Tuesday and Thursday night for my very first time, the original name for CRU was Campus Crusade 

for Christ, something like campus ministry. Some people told me that they just meet for gathering, and some told me 

that not many people joining, and bla bla bla....didn't think too much, just go and visit. It was a special experience to 

me. Tuesday night is like normal gathering with ice-breaking, praise and worship, and Gospel message, and Thursday 

night is Bible study separated by male and female. Realized that not much freshmen are joining this, and actually I can't find 

any information about this gathering on campus or facebook, wondering why....

I guess they were surprise to see me coming here alone.

Anyway, doesn't mean that you no need to seek for God if you have no companion, right?!

Bible study was pretty good, but the time management can be improve, so that will have more time for sharing and 

pray for each others. I think I will still join CRU, but join with a mission and challenge them to be disciple and walk out 

of their comfort zone. Keep me in your prayer!

Time Management!!!!

进了大学，发现时间管理真的很重要，有很多该做的事，有很多
想做的事，也有很多要做的事，学会拒绝，其实是我的挑战。
我喜欢跳舞，弹琴，弹吉他，画画，运动等等，但也因为喜欢做
这些事，而没有一样专，其实有点可悲。
进了大学，开始要专心，要学会分辨主要和次要，专注于该做的
事情上，并在这些事上扎根。

After entering university, realized that time management is so important,
there are lots of stuff that I should do, stuff that I want to do, and stuff
that I have to do, learn to reject became my biggest challenge. I love dancing,
playing piano, playing guitar, painting, jogging and so, but because of
these hobbies, I couldn't be excellent in anything, that's pretty sad.
Now, have to stay focus, and learn to differentiate primary work, and hobbies,
focus on what I should and have to do, and be excellent!

MY FIRST AMERICAN FOOTBALL GAME!!!!!!!!!

 星期六和朋友 Sarah 一起去看美式足球的公开赛，由于在我们学校的足球场，加上学生入场免费，所以，当然去啦！！！这美式足球赛在2pm 开始，==" (天啊~ 最晒最热的时候，为什么？！) 所以去看球赛之前把防晒膏涂满全身。我可不想变黑炭！在球赛之前，学校的足球场的停车位布满了Tailgate 档子，有吃的喝的，音乐和一些游戏，感觉不错哦！我们准时进去找位子，之后有乐队演奏，有拉拉队的表演，球员入场，然后球赛开始，我完全看不明白，只是看我前座的一家人一时开心大叫，一时失望大喊，才大概知道我们球赛是否赢或输。在中场休息时，看完乐队演奏，我和朋友就先离开了，因为真的太闷了~ 由于没什么事情做，她邀请我去她的房间，吃美国零食....！！ opsss~ (高卡路里，高糖分，煎炸等的零食....) 她看我的样子，一脸笑着说："欢迎来到美国！"     Last Saturday, went to watch American Football Match together with Sarah, it was a match located in our university, free entrance for students, started at 2pm ==" (Ohmy, that's the HOTTEST hour in a day! Putted on my sunscreen before I turn into charcoal.) There are Tailgate filled up the football parking lot, with food and drinks, music and games, pretty cool! The band started with music and followed by cheer leading, and players' admission, and the match started. Totally no idea with the match, how they score and so... Only found out the results by the excitement of the family who sat in front of me. Two of us left during the intermission, and went to her dorm for American's snacks!!! opsss~ (High calories, high sugar level, fried snacks....) She looked at me, putted on her evil smiles and said: "Welcome to America!"

我们在房里聊天，修厕所，然后她突然问我要不要试一试 "eno"? 什么来的？

于是，我们就这样下了楼，出去找树，然后把这名为 eno 的东西吊上去，

原来是吊床！！！ ==" 哈哈哈，我们在宿舍门口的大树下吹着凉风，吃披萨.....

wohoo！！！ 不错的体验！

不错的星期六！

We chatted in the room, fixed the toilet, and all of a sudden, she came out with this

idea to put on "eno" (what's that!?) , so we went out and look for trees and hang the 

eno up, lols~~~ I knew what is that !!!==" hahahah..... chilling there and had 

pizza together.... wohooo!!!! Love it! 

It was a great Saturday!!!!

第一次和爸爸视讯！！！！！！

快点记住这一天 2016 年8月31日！！！！

由于太兴奋了，因此把爸爸的照片放很大，因为我自19号抵达美国，直到31号这天才有机会和爸爸视讯，

中间因为适应期，时差，还有网路不好，因此只有whatsapp 传简讯，没能视讯~ (加上我也没有很想家，嘿~)

超级开心的！ 我的室友则是一脸奇怪看着我哔哩吧啦说着流利的外星语，哈哈哈~ 她应该不会嫌我太吵吧~

如果你有机会看到我爸爸，记得告诉他我想他哦！

I was too happy and excited, so enlarge my dad's picture! hahah.... 

This was the first video call since I arrived US on the 19th August, 

finally have a chance to make a video call with daddy! Yay!!!!!

I was in a transition time to the uni's life, jet lag, poor wifi, so we can 

only message through whatsapp, (plus I'm not miss home yet, opsss~)

I was super happy! However, my roommate was showing her curious face 

while listened to me speaking Mandarin as if an alien language, hahaha~

 hope she won't feels disturbed.

Anyway, if you happen to see my dad, please tell him I miss him!

Meet my friend Denisa, she is my first Christian friend in Uni!!!

I was really surprised that how deep our conversation were, we talked about spiritual life, 

life as a disciple, perspective of culture and more~

Went to church with her past two weeks, is a church named: Harvest Bible Chapel in Hickory.

It was a great experience! (If you wanna find out more, you can search this church online.)

Keep my friend in your prayer, pray that we can be spiritual friends throughout this four years in university. 

Pray that God's Word will keep us not into temptation, and we may not sin against Him.

Reading keeps me alive!

书本成了我在大学这几个星期的最佳伙伴，不单止提醒我不要忘记自己是个华人，

但却也拉近我与神之间的关系。

这本书是表姐送给我的礼物，一本关于在大学体会生命价值的书，

与我目前在大学的状况恰好吻合，

在开学迷茫的时候，神透过这本书与我说话，真的好感恩！！！

透过阅读来提升自己的气质与思想

永远不要嫌弃今日所读的，它将成为日后当领袖的垫脚石。

Books became my great companion during this first few week of university's life, 

not only reminds me the language as a Chinese, but keeps me close to God.

This book was a gift from my sweet cousin, a book that talks about the value of life that you would find in university.

 It is a perfect match of my current situation, that's how God speaks to me during the time while I was feeling miserable, I'm really thankful for this.

I love how reading increased the quality of my life and my way of thinking.

Today a reader, tomorrow a leader.

Hooters

今天下午下了一场雨，于是决定和我的室友Elizabeth, 还有Amber一起出去吃晚餐，

她们带我到一间出名的餐厅，名叫：Hooters

她们说这里之所以出名，是因为这间店全部的女招待员都是胸部很大的.....还有食物很好吃~

一进门时，有一点文化冲击

里面其实挺冷的，我一进门就把外套穿上，相反的，女招待员们则穿着清凉的背心走来走去.....

wohooo~~~

为了你双眼的安全着想，我没拍她们，但拍了食物....哈哈哈

好好享受！

It was raining this afternoon, so I decided to hang out with Elizabeth (my roommate) and Amber for dinner, so this was the place we had our dinner: Hooters

They said this place is famous for having big boobs waitress serving food.......and their food is great~

Culture shock for a second when I just got into this restaurant.

I felt really cold in there and have to put on my jacket,  while all the waitress are wearing singlet.....

wohoo~~~

For your both eyes safety purpose, I didn't take picture of the waitress, but food.....hahaha
