Thanksgiving dinner with the i-pals

Hosted a food gathering with the i-pals and the exchange students, and it was a blast!

We had all kinds of food from Chinese, Mexican and Germany, simple but sweet night!

Couldn't say thank you enough to all the people who cooked for the night!

What an awesome and warm night with my friends from Germany, Iceland, Spain, 

Mexico, Argentina, Nigeria, Senegal, and China!

Seafood toppoki

Made Korean toppokki today, it's a type of rice cake.

Cooked the rice cakes with water, use cold water rinse them after they boiled

while the rice cake is cooking, can get ready the soup paste. 

I use chicken broth as based, cook it with kimchi, Korean hot sauce, clams, with some salt and sugar(if it is spicy, use sugar) to flavor it.

once the soup paste is ready and well cooked, put the cooked rice cakes, some flammulina, and some more kimchi if you like kimchi like me.

Once they are cooked, wohooo!!! Your Korean Toppokki is ready to be served!!!

She is my friend that I met during my freshman year, keep in touch until now after she transfers to another university!

Guess what!? She is coming back to LR next fall!!! 

Wohooo!!!!

Campus ministry

It is easy to find people that know God, but living in a place surrounded by all the churches, sometimes we take it for granted.

Many people in the world never in their lives hear the name of Jesus or the Gospel, what does it mean? 

Have we cared about it? 

As I traveled for mission trips, join campus ministry, the more I realized how important it is to us and to them. 

Through campus ministry, many of my friends came and had the opportunity to hear the Gospel, even hear the name of Jesus for the first time in their lives. 

Isn't that crazy to us who took all these for granted?

Tonight at our gathering, this reminded me again never look down on the little thing we do, 

because that can be a tool for the non-believers to hear the Good News!

House of Nom Nom with Autumn

We don't go with plans, but random fate...

Autumn and I planned to get together for dinner, but we both were too busy with our schedule

so our dinner was rescheduled again and again.

As I was heading back to my dorm from classes, saw her just finished her practice, since we both free now,

we decided to go get dinner now!

Love this place, always get the same food, and we both knew what are they!

Love keeping in touch with my friend from freshman year, cherish all these friendship.

Reformation Day at youth

What is this?
When you saw your friend dressed up like this, you know they are serious about it.

Reformation Day happens on Oct 31, our youth group decided to have a night
dedicated in the remembrance of all the reformers who sacrificed themselves in
order to reform the church and recover the Gospel. That no one can earn salvation
through works and good deeds.

In order to make it easier for the students to understand the meaning of reformation,
we used a fun way to help the students. Like a station game, students need to go to
find different "reformer", listen to their stories, and get a sticker from each of them,
after collecting all the stickers, then they will place all of them on the cross as a
symbol of they are willing to live a life to keep the truth and walk in the truth.

Happy Birthday, Emma!!!

十月有好多朋友生日，Emma 是其中一个，悄悄地给她一个惊喜，是早已经计划好的。Emma 来自中国，
是我们这学期的交换生，短短的几个月，我们成了好朋友，即便她不是基督徒，但在她身上总看见神满
满的眷顾与带领。

在外游学的孩子们，每逢佳节倍思亲，虽然我们不能做些什么，但至少能像家人一样去关心他们，用爱
来去接待他们。

「人接待你們，就是接待我；接待我，就是接待那差我來的。人因為先知的名接待先知，必得先知所得
的賞賜；人因為義人的名接待義人，必得義人所得的賞賜。無論何人，因為門徒的名，只把一杯涼水給
這小子裡的一個喝，我實在告訴你們：這人不能不得賞賜。」马太福音10: 40-42

Global Village pumpkin painting!

Since it is closer to Thanksgiving, we have a competition in the Global Village, which is painting the pumpkin!!!

I didn't manage to join the competition, but be the judge! hehehehe~~~

Field trip to Art museum

One of the reasons that I love about art classes is that we have the opportunity to go on a field trip,

visit art galleries or museums

Today, we went to downtown Charlotte for our field trip!!! Yes!!!

VIsited two art museums:

Everyone has different reasons why they love visit art museum, personally, I love to get inspiration in the art museum. Also, being challenged to exhibit my art in my senior year!
